Dogon indigo scarf, cross pattern, vintage handwoven
Maker: In the villages of Dogon Country in Mali, women practice indigo dyeing using the young leaves of a plant called "Gala". The cotton is carded, spun and woven by hand by Akouni, one of the women who is now part of our team.
The Dogon still wear this traditional wrap, whose mythical indigo color crosses places and eras.
