Hand-embroidered cotton. 220 x 154 cm
This cross-stitch kantha comes from the Bengal region, in Bangladesh and India. It is made from layers of recycled cotton, embroidered in cross-stitch with intricate geometric patterns.
Beautiful pastel colors: pinks, green, purple, with a fluffy edge. This is an antique piece that shows signs of use, but it is a rare and unique piece.
These pieces are old and should be kept as part of our craft heritage. Traditionally they were used as floor coverings, but they would also look lovely folded over the back of a sofa, on a bed or as a bold wall hanging. They can also be used to cover a headboard or a chair, or to make a fabulous Roman blind.
Details: recycled vintage cotton, hand-embroidered.
Size: 220 x 154 cm
Each piece is unique and handmade. The imperfections you may find in the embroidery show the unique character of the piece.
