Handwoven cushion, "Graphic Paris" White and Blue

Product: cushion 30 x 50 cm. These luxurious cushions are handmade in Paris for Storie, from a magnificent thick handwoven cotton fabric from around Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso. The back is linen.

Envelope-style cushion, no visible marking

Craft: this fabric is made with a hand-weaving method that is many generations old, practiced in West Africa. This particular fabric is known as Faso Dan Fani, and each pattern is a woven story, full of symbols. Literally, Faso Dan Fani means "loincloth of the homeland". Producing this fabric is of great importance both economically and culturally.

We make these products to pass on knowledge of these traditional crafts, to help give this intangible cultural heritage its proper value, and to promote the economic independence of these artisans.

Details: cushion 30 x 50 cm, handwoven, 100% cotton on the front, 100% Irish linen on the back. Hand wash in lukewarm water.

Insert made in France included. Composition: cotton outer with polyester and feathers. Vegan alternative available on request.
