Ay Illuminate, Z1 pendant light black sisal, Ø67 x H100cm

Z2 black sisal bamboo pendant light: handcrafted design and soothing light

Elevate your interior with the Z2 pendant light by Ay Illuminate, a unique piece imagined by Chilean designer Nelson Sepulveda. Combining traditional craft and contemporary design, this pendant light is shaped by hand from natural materials, giving a soft, warm light.

Ay Illuminate creates a real symbiosis between contemporary design and traditional craft by working with artisans around the world. Its designers help preserve craft by supporting its evolution, working with artisans who use sisal from Eswatini and bamboo, an appealing material that renews itself 3 times faster than a tree and releases 30% more oxygen.

Inspired by nature and different cultures, Ay Illuminate connects designers and artisans in a sustainable development approach, which shows in the use of organic shapes and natural materials combined with local craft expertise. A fine way to find the best solution to capture the unique beauty of different techniques.

Product: Made by hand, the black bamboo structure lightly supports a hand-braided sisal veil, spreading light with a comforting softness.

As an antithesis to the standardized, industrial object, each piece is unique in its shape and in the play of light it casts.
