Product: cushion cover made from a soft hand loomed cotton, dyed in natural indigo in a traditional Dogon fashion. One of a kind. Vintage cotton. 40 x 30 cm
Craft: In the villages of the Dogon Country in Mali, women dye indigo using the young leaves of a the indigo plant, today pretty much as they have done for generations before them. The cotton they use is carded, spun and woven by hand.
The Dogons still wear this traditional cloth whose mythical indigo colour crosses places and times.
In detail: handwoven organic cotton. Dyed with natural indigo. Unique piece. 40 x 30 cm.
